Terms of Service

Last updated: 17 August 2026

1. Operator and agreement

NumDojo is operated by Velislav Tihomirov Tsvetanov, a sole trader trading as NumDojo, 58 Beechley Road, Wrexham, LL13 7BA, United Kingdom. Contact support@numdojo.com. These terms govern use of the NumDojo website, learning service, and direct consumer subscriptions.

School and tutoring workspaces also require the School Data Terms. If an agreed school contract conflicts with these general terms, the signed school contract controls for that school service.

2. Age and account creation

  • Public self-registration starts at age 13.
  • A child under 13 must use a managed learner profile created by an authorised parent, guardian, or school.
  • If the account holder is under 18, a parent or guardian should review these terms and be involved where law requires it.
  • Only an adult account holder may start a paid subscription or access the billing portal. A cancellation request can still be made through account Settings or support.

You must provide accurate account information, keep credentials private, and tell us promptly if you believe an account is compromised. Do not share a classroom password. Schools must use individual temporary credentials or activation methods provided by the service.

3. Managed accounts and relationships

A learner can belong to a family workspace and a school workspace at the same time. A school's access is limited to the educational relationship, authorised classes, and permitted progress. Removing school membership does not automatically delete a family-managed account or independent learning history. A family or school may suspend access under its authority, while NumDojo may retain or anonymise records according to the Privacy Policy and applicable agreement.

4. Acceptable use and safety

You must not harass, threaten, exploit, groom, impersonate, scam, share unlawful or sexual content, expose another person's private information, manipulate rankings, evade safeguards, scrape the service, distribute malware, or interfere with service operation.

Free-text messaging is adult-only. Learner classroom communication uses live lesson state and supported announcements rather than private adult-to-child messages. Read the Community and Safety Rules for reporting, complaints, moderation, and appeals.

5. Free access and the Pro invitation

NumDojo currently offers Free access and a controlled, invitation-only Pro pilot for a UK purchaser aged 18 or over. Pro costs £14.99 GBP per month. There is no trial, annual option, introductory discount, or public checkout. An invited payer first completes a Stripe-hosted payment-method setup and UK billing-address check. That setup does not place an order, create a subscription, or take payment. After the payer returns to NumDojo, the final review shows the exact £14.99 GBP monthly price, renewal terms, cancellation route, and included benefits. Only the separate payment-obligation button creates the subscription and asks Stripe to take the first payment. The subscription then renews monthly until cancelled.

6. Immediate access, cancellation, and refunds

Immediately before placing the paid order, you must expressly request immediate Pro access and acknowledge the £14.99 GBP monthly subscription with no trial. Starting supply during a statutory cancellation period may affect the amount refundable or, for qualifying digital content, the right to cancel after supply begins. NumDojo does not ask you to waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

You can cancel future renewal through account Settings and the Stripe billing portal. Paid access normally continues to the end of the current billing period. Refund and cooling-off rights depend on the applicable consumer law, the type and extent of supply, and the information given at checkout. Contact support@numdojo.com for a refund or statutory cancellation request. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights.

7. Managed and organisation services

Paid school, family, tutoring-organisation, and other managed-workspace plans are not part of the current public launch offer. NumDojo will not create a paid organisation service without a separate written agreement, an authorised adult customer, and any terms and data-protection documents required for that service. The presence of a workspace feature or policy page does not create an offer for sale.

8. Content and intellectual property

Mathematical methods themselves are not claimed as NumDojo property. NumDojo's software, lesson wording, problem sets, illustrations, branding, and presentation are owned by the operator or used under licence. You may use the service for personal or authorised classroom learning. You may not republish, sell, mass-copy, or build a competing dataset from protected content without permission.

9. Availability and learning outcomes

We work to keep NumDojo accurate and available, but do not promise uninterrupted service or a particular grade, speed, competition result, or educational outcome. We may fix content, change a feature, or temporarily suspend access for maintenance, security, legal, or safety reasons. Material paid-plan changes will receive an appropriate notice.

10. Enforcement, suspension, and appeals

We may remove content or restrict, suspend, or close an account where reasonably necessary for safety, security, unlawful conduct, serious or repeated rule breaches, non-payment, or legal obligations. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide an appeal route. Emergency or evidence-preservation needs may require action before notice.

11. Liability

Nothing excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or mandatory consumer rights. Subject to that, NumDojo is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract began, or for business losses arising from consumer use.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory protections and court rights provided by the law of the country where you live. Please contact support first so we can try to resolve the issue. This does not prevent either party from using a court or another legally available dispute route.

13. Changes

We may update these terms for legal, safety, security, or service changes. We will update the date and provide appropriate notice before a material change applies. Continued use after the effective date means the updated terms govern future use, subject to mandatory law.
