NumDojo is an educational platform that teaches speed calculation methods including Vedic Mathematics, the Trachtenberg System, and Soroban (Japanese abacus). Our gamified approach makes learning fast mental math fun and engaging for students ages 8–18.

Public self-registration starts at age 13 and asks for an age group instead of a full birth date. Under-13 and managed-account onboarding are not open during the current launch.

Yes. The Free plan includes 42 foundation lessons across all 8 learning paths, 20 practice problems per day, saved progress, scheduled review, and computer Battle practice. No card is required.

The quiz suggests a lesson to try from your score. It does not mark lessons complete or change lesson access. Each learning path still follows its prerequisites.

We cover Vedic Mathematics (a 20th-century collection of pattern-based calculation techniques), the Trachtenberg System (systematic digit-and-neighbour rules), Soroban (Japanese abacus visualisation), and general mental math shortcuts and patterns.

NumDojo uses SM-2 scheduling. Correct answers move a problem to a longer interval, while missed answers return sooner. The Review page shows what is due next.

The placement quiz can suggest a starting point. Lesson access still follows the prerequisites within each learning path so later units build on the skills they need.

Battle Mode currently offers timed computer practice. Choose a supported technique and timer tier, then play a first-to-three match with at most five rounds.

No. Computer practice does not change your rating, award competitive XP, use a ranked-battle allowance, or create a competitive match record.

No. Public ranked player matchmaking, tournaments, prizes, and private battle rooms are not available during the controlled launch.
