Community & Safety Guidelines

Our promise

NumDojo is a learning space for students aged 8 to 18. We want it to be safe, friendly, and focused on maths. These guidelines apply everywhere you can interact with other people, including guild and classroom chat, battles, and leaderboards.

The rules

• Be kind. No bullying, harassment, threats, or hate speech.
• Keep it appropriate. No sexual, violent, or otherwise harmful content, and nothing that is illegal.
• Protect privacy. Don't share your own or anyone else's personal information (real name, address, phone number, school, passwords).
• Play fair. No cheating, manipulating ratings or leaderboards, or using bots.
• No spam or scams. Don't flood chat or try to sell, phish, or link people elsewhere.

Extra protection for younger children

To help keep younger children safe, real-time messaging is turned off for accounts under 13. Parents can also manage what their child can do from the parent dashboard.

How to report or block someone

If you see a message that breaks these rules, you can act right away in chat:

• Report — tap the flag icon on a message to send it to our team for review.
• Block — tap the block icon to stop seeing that person's messages.

You can also email us at support@numdojo.com. If you are a parent or guardian with a safety concern about your child's account, please contact us at the same address and we will prioritise it.

What we do about reports

Reports go to a review queue. Where a report is valid we may remove content, warn, mute, suspend, or permanently remove accounts, and we cooperate with law enforcement where the law requires it. We aim to review reports promptly and to act proportionately to keep the community safe.

If someone is in danger

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services. In the UK you can also get help from Childline (0800 1111) or report online child sexual abuse to CEOP.
